I apologise to everyone for not posting as often as I normally do. I'm the kind of person who needs a lot of quiet and plenty of time to think through and formulate ideas. I decided this year to start studying again; I'm busy working through a three year marketing diploma, and together with work this has reduced my usual 'thinking' time somewhat. I have many ideas for future posts, and I will definitely write them up in between work and preparing for exams. It will just take a bit longer than usual :-)
By the way, Cori, my wife, recently posted an article on her blog about our marriage story (she is Christian, and I'm an atheist). I like it because it provides a good overview of my own thinking when I started to loose my faith, and she also describes her struggles coming to terms with the shift in our relationship. I suggest you take a read of it.

Thanks! I checked it out. It was a good read. My fiance is a liberal Catholic and I am primarily an atheist at this point, so it's good to see how other people manage such unions.
Studying can take a lot of time I know. Good luck with that and post when you can.
I hope that after 3 years of studying marketing you have enough brain cells remaining to continue blogging. :-)
Cori's piece was very insightful. I wish you the best in your marriage and in your studies and career.
Good luck with your studies, Kevin. I too am pursuing a degree (software applications programming)and my blog has been unattended for two years...there is just no time for philosophy when your brain is in another mode. I look forward to any future random posts you are able to create in between work and school.

I'm curious -- do you have any children or do you think you might have children some day? If so, have you and your wife determined how you will teach your children about your different thoughts and beliefs concerning religion and faith?
